What is Uranium?

Uranium is a silvery heavy radioactive polyvalent metallic element that is found especially in uraninite and exists naturally as a mixture of mostly non-fissionable isotopes.

Exposure to Uranium:

Inhalation: Accidental inhalation may also occur because of a fire in a depleted uranium storage facility, an aircraft crash or the decontamination of vehicles from within or near conflict areas.

Ingestion: could occur in large sections of the population if they are drinking water or food that became contaminated with depleted uranium.

Dermal Contact: depleted uranium could enter the systemic circulation through open wounds or from embedded depleted uranium fragments.

Health effects of Uranium:

Potentially depleted uranium has both chemical and radiological toxicity with the two important target organs being the kidneys and the lungs.

People that eat crops grown on contaminated soil or people that drink waterfrom a uranium waste disposal point may experience higher exposure than otherpeople.

Chemical effects may occur after the uptake of large amounts of uranium, and these can cause health effects such as kidney disease.

When people are exposed to uranium radionuclides that are formed during radioactive decay for a long period of time, they may develop bone or lung cancer.

General Recommendations to Reduce Uranium Exposure and Support Detoxification

If you are concerned about uranium exposure, consider the following steps to help minimize risk and support your body's natural detoxification processes:

1. Hydration & Detox Support

  • Drink extra water: Stay well-hydrated to help flush heavy metals from the kidneys. Use filtered or purified water to avoid additional contaminants.

  • Herbal & Supplement Support: Consider using iodine and heavy metal detox supplements such as:

    • Iodine (supports thyroid health and detox pathways)

    • Core Goldenrod (supports kidney function)

    • Drainage Tone (supports lymphatic drainage)

    • ScentArest (respiratory and toxin elimination support)

    • Takesumi or MT Supreme (herbal support for detox pathways)

2. Liver & Kidney Support

  • Castor oil packs on the liver (2-3 times per week) to support detox pathways and lymphatic drainage.

  • Consume liver-supportive foods: Include beets, garlic, turmeric, and dandelion root tea to promote liver function.

3. Nutritional Support

  • Increase intake of green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, and cilantro, which help bind and remove heavy metals.

  • Eat sulfur-rich foods like garlic, onions, and cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts) to aid detoxification.

  • Incorporate chlorella and spirulina as they may help bind to heavy metals and support removal.
